Social and Economic Technology - 2.2. Description for the non technical worker.

Starting a Job using Secotek.

You have been interviewed for a job either using Secotek or by more conventional and you application has been successful. Of course, your chosen job may not involve further use of Secotek, but the chances are it will. Lets us say, for example, you are to work for a company that is a telephone/Internet retail store in electrical brown and white goods. As a new employee you will be at the bottom of the ladder, as if you had joined a new company by physically being there. You will probably be required to "clock on and off" work, and be appointed to assist a sales executive, much like things happen now. Despite the fact that you have never physically met him/her, you will be in voice and possibly picture contact with him a great deal of the time you are "clocked on". You will idly chat with him/her. You will idly meet and chat with other members of the organization, especially during "breaks". There will be virtual chat rooms where you can hear and see, and meet all your colleagues. You may strike up some friendships, but more important, you will quickly learn how the organization you have joined ticks. You will feel in touch with it. There will be little feeling of "making telephone calls, and needing to have a reason to contact". The degree of contact will be too intense.

What actually will the sales assistant to whom you are appointed be doing?
